KWS is one of the world’s leading plant breeding companies. Founded in 1856, KWS now employs over 5,000 employees in 70 over countries.

In 2013 a new brand essence was phrased and the corporate design was given a facelift. In this process the sound of the brand was part of the discussion and led to a pitch for a holistic corporate sound project.

KWS set the goal for a more emotional brand experience, a stronger differentiation to the competition and the establishing of a fixed audio statement aligned to their visual appearance.

why do birds developed a creative principle based on the brand values trust, innovation and growth that became formative for the brand’s corporate sound. Furthermore the elements of the visual logo – earth, water and sun – as well as the KWS fields of action were translated into sound.

In 2015 the new brand sound was launched at an internal event and successively implemented for different applications as the image-film on and the worldwide telephone-on-hold lines.
