Can animation help depict the emotional range of an entire sports nation? We accompanied the Team D with customized a motion branding and simple motion templates to the Olympic Games and beyond.

The Team D is the brand for which Germany's most successful athletes from all disciplines compete at the Olympic Games. In order to develop a cohesive motion branding that covers all communicative aspects of this broadly positioned brand, we analyzed and explored together with our client, the Team D.

How Does Team Spirit Move?

Three core design principles were defined as the foundation for the development of various motion elements, giving the Team D a unique appearance on all audiovisual platforms.

The Fox in the Box.

The "Team D" logo was the main inspiration for our motion elements. Above all, the various circular shapes, the curves at the beginning and end, the rounded corners and the use of color overlays were reflected in the motion design.

One Flag.

In our animations, we consistently use our colors in the following order: black, red and gold. The colors always appear as a team - like many of our athletes.

Tension and Relaxation.

Athletes rise to sprint, take a running start, the bow is tightened - in sport, every movement is prepared by a counter-movement that creates tension. It is precisely this anticipation that we use as a design tool in motion design.

Record-breaking Diversity.

The Team D brand appears in different formats and moods: sometimes informative, sometimes intimate, sometimes euphoric. That's why we have developed a variety of motion elements that can be used freely - whether for factual updates, spontaneous interviews or emotional competition summaries.

All elements from the Motion Kit for Team D can be combined with each other and used creatively. This means that new combinations and exciting visual effects are constantly being created.

Simple and Informative.

For videos with a serious or narrative approach, such as documentaries, our motion design provides the right framework. The animations are restrained and focus on the essentials: the athletes.

Engaging and Emotional.

SSocial media clips and image films, on the other hand, convey a vision: they should captivate with excitement and dynamism. That's why the more playful elements of our motion kit are used here.


Being there for Everyone.

Our specially designed templates not only make it easy for all users to apply the Team D's Motion Branding, but also have fun while implementing it.

We have prepared all motion design elements as motion templates for Adobe Premiere Pro - the industry standard for film editing and content production.

The templates are self-explanatory and programmed in such a way that users can't go wrong.The templates can be flexibly adapted to the desired duration in Adobe Premiere - without changing the build-up and breakdown of the animations.

Our tailor-made templates are optimized for all formats - whether in portrait mode for TikTok or Stories, in square mode for Instagram or full-screen in landscape mode for YouTube, LinkedIn or TV.

Automations in the individual elements ensure that no gross visual errors occur. And thus provide relaxation for users.
